Today religious leaders and scientists from dozens of countries of Europe and Asia at the IXth meeting of the Eurasian Islamic Council in Istanbul continue development of effective mechanisms for joint opposition to forces and movements, which pose a threat not only to the Muslim community, but also to the whole world. In particular, during two days of the Council's work several meetings were held, where were discussed the future of Islam in Eurasian area, exploiting religious extremist movements, the role and opportunities of media and Muslim organizations in opposition to the use of religious slogans which are used to achieve selfish ends.
Today at a meeting of the Eurasian Islamic Council also made a speech the Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil hazrat Samigullin. As noted in his speech the Mufti of RT, Russia and Turkey's relations have a long history and today our countries actively develope cooperation in the religious, political, economic and cultural spheres.
"After a brief pause, has come the time to raise our cooperation to a new stage of development. Muslim and turkic component plays an important role in the life of modern Russia. I am sure that it will also become an important bonding element, which will help to strengthen the friendship between our folks," - said Kamil hazrat.
According to the Mufti of Tatarstan, it is necessary to combine these efforts to combat neoreligious currents and indicate the reference values of Islam.
"The world today is faced with many major geo-political and socio-economic problems and challenges: the crisis in the Middle East, the influx of refugees in Europe and a number of ethno-religious conflicts in Africa (for example, in Nigeria, Sudan), the "color revolutions" and the global financial crisis. In this regard, it is necessary note especially low, inhumane acts of a terrorist movement «Feto», activity of which we strongly condemn and consider anti-Islamic.
In every age appear neoreligious currents, which split the Islamic unity and bring confusion into the hearts of Muslims. If earlier those flows spread rather slowly, in the age of globalization and Internet technology, they can be distributed with great force. Internet can not be prohibited, in such cases how to deal with this kind of spread of the destructive ideology? Ideology can be overcome only with ideology, we need to strengthen the position of ahlu sunnah wal dzhamaga: the four madhhabs in fiqh and two madhabs in creed: maturidi and ashari. Islamic world needs unification, we need to develop a reference value of Islamic terms. Today, for example, there are people who call themselves hanafi, who are not in fact as they call themselves, there are people who call themselves asharites, but they are far from the views of the sunnis, there are people who call themselves sufis, but they are mired in innovations and sins.
The first such step was taken in Russia, when from 25 to 27 August 2016 in the city of Grozny of the Chechen Republic was held the Islamic conference "Who are they - the followers of the Sunnah?", which was attended by a large number of Muslim scholars from around the world on the basis of which it was decided that the representatives of the ahlu sunnah wal dzhamaga are only official representatives of madhab Islam.
Today we by common efforts should designate reference values in Islam so that no one could be masked under Islamic rhetoric, in front of people talk about universal brotherhood, and prepare behind a coup d'état", - said the Mufti.
Kamil hazrat also urged his colleagues to look at the younger generation, to be engage in their education, the level of religious literacy. "As demonstrated the sad practice, neoreligious flows attract a significant number of adherents in schools and universities. Pseudo-religious and sectarian currents should not be allowed to be in the educational process. It is a matter of national security and social stability.
It is necessary to completely forget about the time when there was no fight for the minds of the Muslim community. The world has become so mutable, fast, that today it is necessary for official clergy to be always one step ahead from neoreligious currents. Today on TV, in the Internet on a daily basis on the average person falls a huge array of destructive anti-Islamic information, with which we must to cope. I am convinced that faith - the salvation of mankind in the XXIst century, only Islam raises a person to the level of angels, and also glorifies love, patience, mutual respect, mercy, forgiveness, human rights, brotherhood, peace and freedom! Only faith reconcile such at the first blush contraries as religion - science, worldly life - the afterlife, material - spiritual, soul - body," - concluded the Mufti.
