Assalamu aleykum wa rakhmatullakhi wa barakyatukhu!

On the night of 26 to 27 of the month of Radjab Muslims around the world are preparing to meet one of the significant dates in the calendar - Laylyat al-Isra wal-Mi'raj. This is the date of the miraculous journey of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from Mecca to Jerusalem and his ﷺ ascension to the heaven.

In the Venerable Qur'an it is said: "Glory to Him, Who moved His slave at night, in order to show him some of Our signs, from the Preserved mosque to the mosque al-Aqsa, to surroundings of which We have bestowed blessing. Verily, He is the Hearing, the Seeing" (surah "al-Isra", ayat 1).

Arriving at the al-Aqsa mosque, Muhammad ﷺ stands up as an imam and is followed by a prayer in two raka'aaths by previous prophets. Only the favorite of Allah ﷺ has been given such an honor. After that, Muhammad ﷺ was elevated to the heaven, where veils were opened in front of him, he saw many mysteries and Allah's great signs. The Lord brought him closer to Himself and turned to him without an intermediary. None of the prophets before could reach the "limit of everything" and no one, except him, was awarded such reverence, which was rendered to him by the Most High. In addition to that, the greatest covenant of Allah after the miraculous journey was a daily five times prayer - it was given to the ummah and facilitated by the mercy of the Almighty and at the request of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ instead of 50 prayers a day. Muslims up to this day, raising their prayers, for the performance of each prayer at the will of the Creator receive a reward of tenfold. Allah prescribed prayer for his slaves, so that it became a link between Allah and them. It also serves as a reminder of His greatness, and is a gratitude for His mercy, and therefore it is the foundation of success and happiness in this world and in akhirat, as the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "The first thing the slave will be tutored on Judgment day will be a prayer, and if it is complete, the rest of his actions will be full-fledged, and if it is spoiled, all his actions will be spoiled." And it is not surprising that namaz is the basis of all actions, truly perseverance in its perfect fulfillment, showing fear and trembling before Allah, strengthens in the soul the feeling of seeing you by Allah. And whoever will feel His presence will be afraid of Him and will strive to deserve His contentment. Those who will know that Allah sees and hears them everywhere and always, will abstain from all that is unworthy and condemned.

From the history of the mi'raj we can learn a lot more useful and instructive things that will strengthen our faith and love for the Prophet ﷺ. We need to think more, read the Book of Allah, study the life and actions of the greatest man in the world, of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and try to implement his covenants.

I ask Allah Almighty to grant us the opportunity to spend more time in worship, to thank Allah for everything that is happening and that every Muslim could perform his "spiritual mi'raj."
