On last Sunday the mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited the mosque "Yardem" in Moscow district of the city, where, together with other believers he took part in namaz and evening breaking of fast - Iftar-majlis. 
Deputy mufti of Tatarstan, the head of social projects of MRB RT Ildar hazrat Bayazitov told the Mayor about the activities of the Rehabilitation center for the visually impaired Muslims at the mosque. According to him, in the center for the blind will be able to learn the basics of Islam and reading the Quran visually impaired and blind people not only from different regions of Russia, but also from countries of the former Soviet Union - including those from Belarus, Ukraine, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan. 
Ilsur Metshin examined complex, which includes a mosque with a prayer hall, a dormitory for foreign, dining room, computer labs, library, mini-printing. Next to the mosque is located a spacious and landscaped area with benches, parking, playground for children games and sports area. "If there was not this center, blind people would be sitting in the four walls, and here is everything for their development: computers, fitness equipment, circles on needlework. Residents of the center have the opportunity to learn and communicate with each other. Here in front of them opens the whole world ... "- shared his impressions the head of the city.
