With zakat is taxed gold, silver, as well as cash and goods equal in value of 85 grams of gold at the price of CentralBank per gram of gold (Decision of the Council of Ulema CRO-MRB of RT), as well as livestock, honey and a variety of cereals.
Speaking of cereal crops (buckwheat, wheat, rice), then of harvest should be given 1/10 for the needy. In the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.v.) payment of one tenth of the crop is called "gushr." However, not in all cases have to pay 1/10 part, so for example, if watering is done by artificial means, then as alms is given only one fifth part, if cereals were irrigated with nature (rain), then 1/10.
As for gold, the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.v.) determined the necessary amount of gold to pay zakat in 20 mithqala, that is 85 grams of gold.
Zakat of 85 grams of gold and more is paid in amount of 2.5 percent of its value. The need to pay cash of silver occurs if you have 600 grams of silver. Then you have to pay 2.5 percent of 600 grams.
If in person's home or in the current account during the year are funds in which he does not need equal to the cost of 85 grams of gold, so of them is paid zakat as 2.5% of the total. The same applies to the goods, which lay in stock. Here it is necessary to focus on the value of gold.
Zakat is also payable of bovine and horned cattle. For example, if you have 30 cows or bulls, that are more than six months grazing, and during this time their number is not reduced, then zakat is paid as a one-year-old heifer, if more than 60 goals, it is necessary to give two yearling heifers, or one two-year-bull or a cow. Buffaloes are also included in the category of cattle.
Zakat is also taken of horned cattle: goats and sheep. Here, the required number - 40. Of the 40 sheep one sheep is given as zakat, or you can pay cash at a cost of one sheep.
Of geese, turkeys and horses you do not need to pay zakat. Except that if the horses are bred for sale. Since in this case the horse will be subject to zakat.
According to shariat, cars, apartments and other property not subject to zakat.
Requirements for distribution of zakat.
