In the framework of International scientific-practical conference "Actual problems of studying and preserving the Islamic heritage of the Crimea", which was opened on October 15, mufti of Tatarstan Kamil hazrat Samigullin visited the complex of Khan Uzbek's mosque and Indzhibek Khatun's madrassah in Old Crimea.

A tour of the complex, on whose territory the excavations, conducted leading researcher of the State Hermitage, Doctor of Historical Sciences, head of the archaeological expedition Starokrymskiy Mark Kramarovskii.

He noted that this is the earliest madrasas in Eastern Europe, which miraculously survived and is used as a mosque. The complex is in urgent need of restoration and protection of the state.

Also on the occasion of the opening of the International scientific-practical conference "Actual problems of studying and preserving the Islamic heritage of the Crimea", dedicated to the 700th anniversary of the Uzbek Khan Mosque in the restaurant "Solkhat" in Old Crimea was given a dinner for guests and conference participants. Dinner is accompanied by a performance ensemble "Qırım" briefed the guests on the Crimean Tatar folk dances and songs.

Recall that in the Crimea conference will last until 18 October. Today a plenary session in the section "History of Islam in the Crimean Ulus Golden Horde", "Muslim architecture of Crimea in the Golden Age", "Actual problems of preservation of historical and cultural heritage of the Crimean period of the Golden Horde."
