Yesterday in Kazan Kremlin in the Kul Sharif mosque was a meeting of mufti of Tatarstan Kamil hazrat Samigullin with the head of the Russian imperial house grand duchess Maria Vladimirovna. The meeting was also attended by the deputy chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Rimma Ratnikova, representatives of the head of the Russian imperial house - head of interregional and international relations office of the head of the russian imperial house, prince Vadim Lopoukhin, personal secretary of the head of the Russian imperial house, Alexander Zakatov, adviser of office for cooperation with NGOs and agencies of the government of the Russian Federation Kirill Nemirovich-Danchenko.
 
At the beginning mufti of Tatarstan gave a tour of the Kul Sharif mosque for a high guest, then, over a cup of tea, told her about the history of Islam in Tatarstan, about the spiritual and moral regeneration of people.
 
Grand duchess in a conversation with the mufti said that she was pleased to visit Tatarstan and get acquainted with the culture of the Tatar people and its history. She said some of the facts of history, which are directly related to Islam, in particular, that on the helmet of Alexander Nevsky, stored in Moscow at the state armory chamber at Moscow Kremlin, there are inscriptions in Arabic, which quoted the verses of the Holy Quran - Surah 61, verse 13. She also showed a letter in which the grand duchess Victoria Feodorovna performed patroness of newborns its Muslim subjects of the time.
 
Then, the grand duchess, which was a surprise, awarded mufti of Tatarstan Kamil hazrat Samigullin with order of St. Anne Grade II. She also presented the mufti bronze medal "In memory of the 400th anniversary of the Romanovs' house 1613-2013" and a commemorative medal "The anniversary of the popular feat. 1613-2013" established by her imperial highness to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the end of the Troubles and the recovery of the Russian statehood."
 
The Mufti of Tatarstan thanked the grand duchess Maria Vladimirovna head of the Russian imperial house for awards and noted her high role which she plays in preserving the historical traditions of the Russian State.
